Oct 5, 2023 - Venture to Wexford and Return to Dublin

It was raining and we visited the John F. Kennedy Arboretum – a peaceful retreat in New Ross with over 4,500 species of plants across 252 hectares.  The local guide did a wonderful job in explaining the plants in this arboretum and at end she didn't even take any of the tips we offered.

Then we visited Dunbrody Famine Ship. It was designed to let the guest to dive Into culture, to gain insight into the tragic plight of the Irish emigrants, who were compelled to leave their home during the potato famine and endured even harsher conditions than at home in the 'coffin ships' that took them to new lands.

We also took some photos with Kennedy status nearby.

We joined the Fulvio family with a "Connect With Locals" dinner featuring Irish fare with an Italian twist, served at their Ballyknocken Farmhouse near Dublin.  It was the best meal we had in Ireland.

Then we got back to Dublin.  We went to the Dublin downtown area to see the Temple Bar,  We also walked all the way to Ha’penny Bridge over the River Liffey.  We walked across the bridge to see the other side of Dublin.  Then we remembered about someone telling us about the safety issue on the other side of River Liffey, therefore, we quickly got back to south side of the river .
